[Dr. Anna Lembke](https://www.annalembke.com/) is "professor of psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine and chief of the Stanford Addiction Medicine Dual Diagnosis Clinic".
Most recently, she has been sharing her theories on dopamine addiction and the management of the reward pathways in the brain in our modern, connected age.
The ideas in her book [[lit/books/Dopamine Nation|Dopamine Nation]] are distilled in the [[After Skool]] YouTube video [[Finding Balance in the Age of Indulgence]].
She also promotes the importance of radical honesty and what she calls "prosocial shame" to help recovering addicts overcome addictions.
