For planned comparisons, confirm the assumptions of one-way ANOVA are met, state all hypotheses to be tested, confirm they meet the four conditions for planned comparisons, and use the distribution of the contrasts to test each hypothesis. For post-hoc comparisons, use a correction method to account for multiple comparisons.
